I am writing to talk to you about our Summer Internship program for undergraduates at Bristol Myers Squibb in New Brunswick NJ in May-August 2017. The primary focus of this program is to provide undergraduates with experience in the work of Organic chemists in drug development. This is achieved by working with a mentor on projects involving synthetic route scouting, methodology development, and/or reaction mechanism. The students will conclude the program by presenting an oral summary their work in a year end research symposium. In addition to gaining valuable chemistry experience, this program also introduces the students to many parts of the drug development process, including process scale up, analytical chemistry, and drug formulation development. This is a paid summer internship where the student’s wage will be based on their years of undergraduate experience.
