Details of the REU Opportunity: The NSF REU Site Li-SMART focuses on Lithium Sustainability, Mining, Recycling, and Technology. This 10-week paid summer research experience will tackle critical challenges in lithium supply chains, energy storage, green technology, and environmental sustainability. Participants will work with expert faculty mentors across various disciplines, including Chemistry & Biochemistry, Environmental Science & Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, and Mining & Geological Engineering

• U.S. citizens or permanent residents only
