As a science reporter for Chemical & Engineering News, I recently reported a podcast about rocket chemistry. My talk will cover some of the same ground as the podcast — from the US space race in the 1950 and 60s to recent advances. It will also include some behind-the-scenes tidbits about my reporting, and my route from a Carleton College chemistry major to a science reporter.
