We are pleased to announce our 2018 NSF-sponsored Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) summer program. Our summer session (June 3–August 11, 2018) will provide exciting research opportunities for both undergraduate students as well as faculty/undergraduate team pairs. Each participating student or faculty/student team will be matched with an NIU faculty mentor. Research projects cover a broad range of topics in the chemical and biochemical fields, such as chemical synthesis, energy storage and protein engineering. All participants will receive a $5,000 stipend and free housing is provided for all student participants.
