Mortar Board Nominations

19 January 2024

Do you know any juniors invested in leadership, scholarship, and service? If so, you should nominate them for Carleton’s chapter of Mortar Board by filling out the nomination form!

All nominations are due by February 5th, 2024.

What is a Mortar Board? Mortar Board is a national college senior honor society founded in 1918 that recognizes outstanding students in leadership, scholarship, and service. As an organization, Mortar Board is dedicated to promoting equal opportunities among all people. It recognizes students engaged with the College and looking to give back during their senior year on campus.

Carleton’s Mortar Board chapter emphasizes the importance of giving back to our community, whether to Carleton, fellow students, or the Northfield community. Members put on events such as Puppies on the Bald Spot during finals, canned food collections, a first-year mentorship program, flower sales at graduation, and the Faculty/Staff Appreciation Brunch at the end of the year. Our chapter provides an opportunity for continued leadership development on campus and a chance to give back to the local community.

Nominate as many people as you would like! Ideal candidates will have shown leadership on campus in their jobs, clubs, or classes and are dedicated to community service.
