MN-ACS sponsored webinar with Dr. Marc Jenkins on SARS-CoV-2 Antibodies and Vaccines

Join us for a virtual meeting with Dr. Marc Jenkins, Director, Center for Immunology, UMN Medical School. Dr. Jenkins and a team of researchers at the UMN have been working on a new antibody test to detect immunity from the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Dr. Jenkins presentation will last approximately 30 minutes, followed by Q&A. Free but registration is required.

Topic: SARS-CoV-2 Antibodies and Vaccines

Abstract: This presentation will focus on how people make antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 Infection or Vaccines, how those antibodies are measured, and how antibodies re-infection. Dr. Jenkins will also discuss the research being currently done in his group at the UMN.

Bio: Dr. Jenkins is recognized as one of the world’s most distinguished immunologists. He currently serves as Director, Center for Immunology, UMN Medical School. Jenkins is also a Regents and Distinguished McKnight University Professor and the UMN and recently was named to the National Academy of Sciences. He has been recognized for his role in the medical school’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic through the development of antibody testing now in clinical use.
