Marquette University’s Graduate Program in Chemistry

8 December 2020

Dear Undergraduate Chemistry Student:

Are you thinking about going to grad school? If so, I hope you will include Marquette University’s Chemistry program in your search.

Located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, our department offers exciting research opportunities in all areas of chemistry, including materials science. We currently have 12 faculty members and approximately 40 graduate students, conducting well-funded research in top-notch facilities. All graduate students receive financial aid in the form of teaching or research assistantships. Financial aid packages include competitive stipends and a tuition waiver. The benefits of pursuing graduate studies at Marquette are further described in the attached brochure.

We will begin reviewing applications for the fall semester of 2021 in January. Instructions for applying to the program are found online at: https://www.marquette.edu/grad/programs-chemistry.php.

During the month of December, we will be hosting virtual office hours to give interested students an opportunity to speak with faculty and ask questions about our program. Join using the links below, or contact me to arrange an online meeting outside of these office hours.

Tuesday, December 15 from 5:00-6:00 pm (Central Time)

Saturday, December 19 from 1:00-2:00 pm (Central Time)

Virtual office hours will be held in MS Teams. You can access Teams directly through your browser, or download a free version of Teams to your computer or mobile device.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions.  We look forward to receiving your application.
