About the Job: The Research Access Assistant (RAA) will assist Professor of Bioengineering Mona Minkara (who is blind) with research (by conducting computational research and helping with her research group), teaching, and other accessibility tasks. Because she is blind, this individual will function as Dr. Minkara’s ‘scientific eyes’ and it is a unique opportunity for a young scientist to “peel back the curtain” on the academic experience while also developing a range of technical and professional skills. The RAA will be involved in many of Dr. Minkara’s professorial responsibilities, and there is significant opportunity for the employee to develop their skills in programming, data analysis, writing, presentation making, communication, collaboration, mentoring, and teaching.
