The PhD program in Biochemistry at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY) is now recruiting for the fall 2022 cohort of students. We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated young scientists to join us to work towards a doctorate. Application deadline is January 1, and GRE scores are optional.
The Graduate Center CUNY continues to recruit dynamic and promising faculty into the Chemistry, Biology and Biochemistry Departments throughout the CUNY senior college system and to broaden support of all the science investigators in our Ph.D. programs. Graduate students are key to the success of this community and all are admitted with a guaranteed five-year Science Scholarship of at least $30,000 per year plus full tuition and other benefits (health insurance, parental accommodation). They work with our renowned faculty in many research centers, including the new Advanced Science Research Center and the Hunter College/Weill-Cornell Belfer Research building, where they collaborate with top scientists from around the world. Furthermore, they belong to a supportive and diverse community of scholars and scientists, committed to creating knowledge and driving innovation.
Background and some details about the PhD program in Biochemistry are in the tri-fold. The Program Office is available to help with admissions issues and to answer any questions from applicants. Additionally, we will hold a virtual application bootcamp on Thursday, November 18, at 12pm to give interested students more information on the program and the application process as well as advice on how to craft a competitive application package.
