GRE Test Dates Reminder
Volume 21, Number 1If you are planning on applying to chemistry graduate school, you will almost certainly have to take both the general and subject GRE exams. The general exams are offered as a computer-delivered exam and can be taken at many test centers around the country at almost any time. Find more information about the General GRE exam.
On the other hand, the chemistry subject exam is offered only as a paper-delivered exam at relatively few test centers, and only 3 times a year. In the past, the exam was offered in Northfield in October, but that is no longer true. Now, the closest test center from Carleton is in Mankato. The Career Center will work with you to help you find a way to the test site, so check in with that office if you plan on taking the exam this fall. Here are the exam dates, with each date’s regular and late registration deadlines (the late registration costs more).Exam Date: 9/17/16 (registration deadline has passed)Exam Date: 10/29/16 (registration deadline 9/23/16, late registration 9/30/16). This is when most students take the exam, if planning on applying to grad schools this year.Exam Date: 4/8/17 (registration deadline 3/3/17, late registration 3/10/17)
