Chemical Biology Symposium at the U of MN, May 22
Volume 23, Number 25Every year the fellows on the CBIT grant organize a one-day symposium at the UMN to highlight research being done in the field of chemical biology and have invited speakers from across the country to give talks about their research. This year we are reaching out to the local PUIs in an attempt to give more students a chance to learn more about the field of chemical biology and the exciting research being conducted.

Biol 354 – 3 credit spring course application
Volume 23, Number 17This spring term the Biology Department will be offering a course designed for students with an interest in the medical profession. This course will be taught by Dr. Charles Crutchfield, M.D. ’82, and will meet once a week on Wednesday afternoons during the second five weeks of the term. More information is attached. The deadline in which to apply is Wednesday, February 20 at noon. You will be notified of your status before registration begins.

This event will bring together women chemists and anyone who wants to support women chemists to explore professional opportunities at all career stages. Register here for this free event.

Midwest Art Conservation Center (MACC)

The Bus will leave Carleton from in front of Willis at 2 pm. He will meet folks at the front entrance of the MIA for the MACC tour which starts at 3 pm. After the tour, people are on their own and the bus will board at 8:30 pm from the MIA front entrance for the return trip to Northfield. MIA is open until 9 pm.

Journey with Climate KIC Summer School
Volume 23, Number 14The Journey with Climate KIC is a European institution financed by the EU Commission as well as a few companies such as Veolia. The Journey is an intensive 5-week summer school program across Europe with the goal to develop entrepreneurial skills through climate friendly projects. This program also provides some insightful business classes to supplement a liberal arts education.
