“Perspectives on Improving Science Education”

Catherine Drennan, Professor of Chemistry and Biology at MIT, has been involved in many efforts to improve science courses and to broaden the diversity of students who succeed in these classes. She will discuss some of her recent efforts, including developing videos for introductory students that introduce them to the gender and ethnic diversity of contemporary scientists and developing a curriculum for science teachers about building inclusive learning environments.
