Bridge for Pursuing Higher Degrees – Purdue University

If you are considering graduate studies and would like to learn more, please apply for the Bridge for Pursuing Higher Degrees (B4PhD), a mentoring program designed to connect you with current graduate students in a range of science disciplines.  The program will have four 90-minute long sessions that will be interactive and clear confusion and misconceptions about graduate school.  We will provide advice on how to best prepare for graduate studies.  The sessions are made available at no cost.

The four meetings will be preceded by brief assignments designed to help you get the most out of the experience.

Goals:

  • Demystify graduate school, summer research programs, and the application process. 
  • Learn from mentors who are current Purdue Science graduate students.  

Eligibility:

  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident 
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree at a U.S. institution with an interest in pursuing a graduate degree in a field in science 
  • Graduating in spring 2027 or later (at least 1 year remaining in their bachelor’s degree program)  
  • GPA 3.0/4.0 or greater
