5th year educational associate opportunity

8 March 2022

Looking to take a gap year to gain hands-on experience with laboratory techniques? Interested in learning a range of skills like immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy, genetics, electrophysiology, optogenetics, and animal behavior? Curious about how animal models like worms, flies, fish, and rats are used to investigate biological questions? Neuroscience is seeking an Educational Associate for the ‘22-’23 academic year (40 hrs/week with benefits, 9 months, starting mid-August 2022). You would work with neuroscience faculty to support neuroscience lab courses, develop new lab activities, and provide support for the new confocal microscope. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their technical toolkit and explore different areas of inquiry-based laboratory instruction.

Please contact Eric Hoopfer or Jennifer Wolff if you are interested in talking about this opportunity.
