It is our pleasure to notify you that we are accepting applications for the 2021 NSF REU Summer Program in Chemistry at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. This program offers an intensive introductory training experience spanning the different areas of chemical research. In addition, participating undergraduate researchers will engage in a range of activities designed to develop complementary skills that are beneficial for success in graduate school and scientific careers. Finally, social activities will be organized so that participants can enjoy their summer in Knoxville. Students will receive a $5,000 stipend for the 10-week program along with free housing, reimbursed travel to and from Knoxville and other perks.
Undergraduates who will not be graduating prior to Summer 2021 are encouraged to apply to the program, and we appreciate any assistance in passing this information along to potential candidates. Application review will begin after February 15, 2021, and completed applications received by this date will be guaranteed full consideration (Note: the attached flyer indicates the deadline is Feb 1, but this has been extended).
