The University of Kansas is now accepting applications for its summer 2019 Chemistry REU program, funded by the National Science Foundation (http://chemreu.ku.edu/).

This program is designed to bring students interested in an undergraduate research experience to the UD campus for 10 weeks of summer research to gain exposure to a graduate research environment. Selected fellows will receive housing on-campus, a $4000 stipend, and round-trip transportation to the university.
The application deadline is Feb 15, 2019, and preference will be given to students completing sophomore or junior years.

We are now actively recruiting for our 2019 program. This funded, ten-week opportunity is a great way for undergraduates to get exposure to R1 research.

Applications are now being accepted for the Summer REU Program in Marine Science at the University of Delaware, an NSF-Funded Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program. Students from community colleges, institutions with limited research opportunities and from underrepresented groups in ocean science are especially encouraged to apply.
All documents must be submitted by Friday, February 8, 2019.

ACS Scholars Application is Open!
The ACS Scholars Program is a renewable scholarship for African-American, Hispanic/Latino, and Native American undergraduate students pursuing bachelor degrees and careers in chemistry-related disciplines. Each year, between 100 and 150 new scholarship recipients are selected from across the country and receive anywhere from $1,000 to $5,000 per academic year in addition to mentoring, networking opportunities, and access to conference travel awards. High school seniors, college freshman, sophomores, and juniors can visit www.acs.org/scholars for more details and to apply. The application is open until March 1, 2019.

2019 NSF Sponsored Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). The focus is on Experimental and Computational Materials Research. See poster attached and visit our website for complete program details.
The program dates are May 19 to Jul 26, 2019. The application deadline is March 15, 2019, but you should consider getting your documentation in place early, including securing letters of recommendation from faculty. Decisions will be made no later than April 1, 2019.
