Our Departmental Picnic will be held in Sechler Park on Friday, May 18: RAIN or SHINE. Come for Great Food, Great Camaraderie, and the Famous Chemistry Department Annual Skit. Majors, RSVP on the website by Wednesday, May 16.
All needing rides or driving campus vans, plan to be in the Chapel parking lot by 3:45-4pm. We will coordinate rides from there.

Archival Copy of Comps – Senior Chemistry Majors
Library Archival Submission – please submit the final copy of your comps at this site: Comps submission This is a self-submission process and each department doesn’t submit on behalf of their seniors. This submission form is only accessible while the seniors are still on campus.
Looking for one Chemistry major to make a short lab on batteries for use by high school students on energy summer program. The lab will replicate popular chemistry experiments on batteries, and the main task will be reviewing these experiments and converting them into a concise document for students.
The Career Center will be hosting an internship panel for students to hear first-hand from other students about what to expect in their internships. Students will hear the stories of other Carleton students in the internships and talk about how to prepare for an enriching summer experience.
Horton Global Scholars Program
If you are studying abroad in 2018-19 and majoring or intending to major in economics, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology, geology or math, consider applying for the Horton Global Scholars Program. A $3000 scholarship will be awarded to one student based on financial need and a brief essay.
Application deadline is Monday, May 21, 2018.
