The 2026 The Hyme Loss Award for Global Engagement has been awarded to Daniel McGovern!
A major in French and Francophone Studies and minor in Mathematics, Daniel used his time at Carleton to pursue language acquisition, cultural immersion, and cross-cultural learning. He achieved this through coursework, Off-Campus Studies, (including CGRS’s post-OCS internship in Paris), student-employment and volunteering, and was constant figure at CGRS-related events here on campus. We’re incredibly proud of him and wish him the best. We know that Carleton has prepared him well!
