Professor Kambiz GhaneaBassiri will be showing the film, Baran (2001) by the award-winning Iranian director Majid Majidi, to his Semantics of Love in Sufism class this Friday, November 11th. The film builds on some of the themes discussed in his course in relation to the situation of Afghani refugees in Iran, but it also stands on its own as simply a good film. MEST students are welcome to join for the film and discussion!
Food will start at 5:30pm and the film will begin at 6:00pm.
