The Department of French and Francophone studies is hosting two screenings of Ru (2023) based on the novel of the same name by Vietnamese-born Francophone Canadian author, Kim Thúy. The film's dialogue is in French with English subtitles. The film follows the story of Tinh as she and her family adapt to life in Quebec as refugees of the Vietnam War. The film's runtime is 116 minutes. The first screening is at 7PM and the second is at 9PM. Both screenings are in Gould Library 344.
