A talk by Christine Castro

Professor Christine Castro will present on protest practices and discourse around them in response to police shootings—by a police department honored by the Obama administration in 2012 and awarded  the James Q. Wilson “Community Policing” Award in 2019 (Wilson was a co-author of the broken windows theory.) I’ll be sure to ask questions for students to follow the thread between “broken windows” and “community policing.”
