Alternative Spring Break
The CCCE’s primary academic break volunteering opportunity is our Alternative Spring Break (ASB) program: annual week-long opportunities to engage with social justice issues impacting our community partner organizations. Past trips have addressed food justice, environmental restoration, sustainable agriculture, and educational equity with partners in Rice County and northern Minnesota.
Academic Break Volunteering
Students staying local during winter and spring breaks sometimes continue volunteering in Rice County, independently or supported by the CCCE. Students may also continue work with ACE faculty partners or apply for funding to continue their Community Based Work Study positions between terms.
