Dr. Denise Lajimodiere’s Elder in Residency moves Carleton another step toward healing and honest storytelling

Dr. Denise Lajimodiere’s week-long residency in April marked another step on Carleton’s journey toward healing and honest storytelling about this institution’s relationship with Indigenous people and communities. Organized by academic civic engagement faculty Meredith McCoy and Michael McNally, Carleton’s inaugural 2022 Elder-in-Residence program is one of the final programs sponsored by the college’s Mellon-funded initiative, Public Works: Arts and Humanities Connecting Communities and her visit was also supported by the Distinguished Women Visitors Fund, American Studies, Sustainability, and the CCCE.  Read the full article about her visit.
