Emily Seru hired as the Center for Community and Civic Engagement Associate Director for Academic Civic Engagement and Scholarship

We are pleased to announce that Emily Seru will be joining the Center for Community and Civic Engagement (CCCE) at Carleton on January 1, 2022. Emily comes to Carleton College with over two decades of community engagement and higher education experience. Most recently she led the academic community-engaged course support, assessment, and faculty engagement for St. Catherine University. Before this she spent over fourteen years managing community partnerships, grant funded community-engaged programs, strategic planning and institutional anti-racism efforts for the Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs (HECUA). Emily holds a M.S. in Experiential Education from Minnesota State University Mankato with a focus on critical service-learning and reflection and earned her B.A. in English from Lewis and Clark College. Join us in welcoming Emily at our last Coffee and Donuts on Friday, November 19, in the CCCE Office (SH-151) from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. when she comes to campus for a visit before her official start.
