Professor Mary Savina presents at the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) Conference.

Mary Savina, Charles L. Denison Professor of Geology, will be presenting a case study “Estimating carbon sequestration potential of college campus soils: An example from Carleton College” at the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) Conference in Minneapolis on October 27. She will present on a project completed in Fall 2014 featuring work by the Geology of Soils class at Carleton. The class developed a method to determine how much carbon could be sequestered by soils on a college campus.
