CHAT Open House on the Carleton campus

Friday, September 30 – Saturday, October 1, 2022

The CHAT was used at MCAN’s The Gathering on the Carleton campus. Attendees at The Gathering were invited to use the CHAT to record their stories and experiences, or to interview each other about their times at Carleton. 

Saturday, October 22 – Saturday, October 29, 2022

Students from ACE course Politics of Reproductive Justice (GWSS 250) hosted an oral history project focusing on students’ personal experiences with reproductive justice (including abortion, sexual education, on-campus sexual culture, etc), in partnership with Carleton Students for Reproductive Freedom. 29 students participated in interviews. Listen to their stories.

The CHAT was on campus for Community Archaeology Day, hosted by the ARCN 246 course. Students recorded a community member’s story about his archaeology experience. They also used the trailer to display some mystery objects found during excavations.

The CHAT was on campus as part of Empty Bowls. The trailer featured information on the history and story of Empty Bowls and food insecurity and food access on campus and in Rice County.
