National Public Health Week (April 3rd-10th) brings together communities across the country to celebrate health, to recognize the contributions of public health, and to highlight important health issues. Carleton and St. Olaf, through a Broadening the Bridge grant, are sponsoring a series of talks and activities on both campuses focusing on mental wellness through a public health lens.
Join us for our first events this weekend, kicking off Public Health Week with two opportunities to attend a workshop led by senior Carleton psychology majors Allie Dulles and Kirstie Barton. The workshop, Experience OpenMind, showcases the peer-led course OpenMind currently facilitated at Carleton that is open to all students for enrollment. Topics for this workshop will include the idealization of happiness, the importance of gratitude, and the role of self-care.
