Looking to take your civic activism to the next level? Want to know more about the issues you care about? Want to learn skills and tools to help you make a greater impact? Want to get connected with other activists? Whether you are interested in legislation, elections, advocacy, protests, or direct action, MNxMN2019: Beyond the Vote civic activism conference will get you ready for more effective action in 2019 and beyond. MNxMN (pronounced “minn by minn”) literally means “for Minnesotans, by Minnesotans.” That’s what this conference is all about. (Last year’s conference, MNxMN2018: Beyond Resistance, was a great success, with over 400 participants, 40 sessions and 70 organizations exhibiting.) The presenters are all local activists, sharing their knowledge and skills based on their own experience working here in Minnesota. Click here (https://www.mnxmn.org/2018-beyond-resistance) for highlights of last year’s conference. MNxMN2019: Beyond the Vote promises to be even more impactful. Choose from over 40 sessions throughout the day, focused on skills, issues or community building, plus a variety of other activities, all aimed at making your activism more effective. Network with new and experienced activists, and get to know Minnesota activist and advocacy organizations by visiting their exhibitor booths. Early Bird registration (https://www.mnxmn.org/registration) is now open. Student tickets are $25 and scholarships are available. Lunch is included. Sign up now! Check out the session schedule here (https://www.mnxmn.org/session-schedule). As soon as you register, you can choose the sessions you want to attend.
