As a part of Deborah Gross’s FOCUS colloquium, sophomores and a senior research team designed an air quality monitoring bike, which they use to teach middle schoolers about air pollution. This term, college and middle school students have been monitoring air quality during peak and off-peak traffic hours to inform a potential ‘no idling’ policy during pick-up and drop-off times.
