Census Director Robert Groves, who called Carleton’s Latin American Poster Contest a “great way to get the word out about the census,” officially kicked off the Census count today in a remote Alaskan village. Groves personally interviewed an Alaskan Native resident, the first person to be counted in the 2010 Census. In the coming months, Carleton and ACE will be working to obtain a complete count closer to home in Northfield the surrounding region. Check out ACE’s page on the Census to find out how you can contribute!
