Student Dialogue: Censorship and Free Speech in the Classroom

Thu, October 26, 2023 • 6:00pm - 7:30pm (1h 30m) • Hulings 316

LOCATION CHANGED TO HUILINGS 316

Community Conversations are events in which students are invited to participate in open dialogue about a particular topic. This term, our chosen topic is Censorship and Free Speech in the Classroom, a prominent issue in US higher education--and the education system as a whole--today.

The conversation will explore questions such as, what are the different approaches institutions can take regarding free speech in the classroom? what are the pros and cons of each approach? and, what impacts do these approaches have on student curiosity, learning, and wellbeing?

All are invited to attend and dinner will be provided! RVSP here!
