The CCCE is excited to share that our office is now the official sponsor of the Wellstone House for Organizing and Activism (WHOA). WHOA is a residential space for students interested in organizing and activism to practice community, build their skills as organizers and share their knowledge with each other. The house was founded to carry on the legacy of the late political science professor, organizer and Senator Paul Wellstone and his wife Sheila, who together worked for the betterment of our local communities, state, and country. Central to the mission of WHOA is their Wellstone Wednesday program, which is organized by the House Program Manager and house residents. During Winter and Spring terms of 2022, the WHOA team is running a series of organizing workshops for students, which are supported by the CCCE. You can find more information about these workshops on our website. We are grateful for the Office of the Chaplains’ stewardship of this space throughout the years and look forward to working across offices to support this hub of student civic learning and action.
