Be the Rainbow in the Clouds

27 May 2020

To Jackson Warren:

Dearest Jackson, you did it. It was challenging and easy, fun and boring — all the things that make college a growing experience. Now is the time to look inward and find out what will make you the person you want to become.

As Carl Jung says, “Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”

Take these rich experiences, the good and the bad, and use them to guide you into this crazy world. Treasure and keep close your friendships with fellow students and professors, as those are the true rewards from college.

Keep reading, listening, making, performing and learning. Everything that you have done so far has molded you into a warm and wonderful person who I love to be around. Choose to be the rainbow in the clouds!

It’s with much love and pride I say congratulations!
All my love, Mom
