My daughter is Allegra Kramer Tashjian, a geology major who rides horses, practices yoga and is more articulate and a better writer than most people I know.
I am in awe at how much she has learned and grown at Carleton: who knew there was an artist and a choreographer lurking beneath her logical demeanor? Her passion for social justice makes me proud, but I also love her delight in life’s absurdities and her off-the-cuff discourses on the local geomorphology!
The way the year has ended for her and the class of 2020 is of course unfortunate, to say the least; but she is resilient and strong, and surrounded by great Carleton friends, and I see nothing but great things ahead. From the Porcupine Mountains to the Rockies: so many mountains to climb, so many amazing vistas! With endless love…
