Events

  • Law Admissions Workshop Series (L.A.W.S.) – Hosted by a group of leading law schools, these events are focused on providing information about legal education, the legal profession, and preparing for the process of applying to law school. Join Admissions Deans at one of 7 events across the country between June and September.
  • LSAC Law School Forums – Open-house style recruitment events for prospective law students and those thinking about law school. Over 100 law schools are in attendance at over 10 events across the country between July and November.
  • Midwest Law School Virtual Fair (November and February) – Connect with admissions representatives online in a chat room style venue. Visit the Career Center Events Calendar for more information closer to the events.
  • Careers in Law Fair (March) – Held at the University of Minnesota every year. This is a great opportunity to speak with representatives from law schools, government agencies, paralegal programs, nonprofits, criminal justice organizations, political offices, and LSAT prep programs.
  • Information Sessions at Carleton College (Mainly Fall term) – In fall 2015 alone, 10 law schools visited Carleton College to promote their programs. Attend these on-campus sessions to learn more. Law schools who have recruited at Carleton recently include: Columbia Law School, Harvard Law School, University of Michigan, University of Minnesota, University of St. Thomas, and Yale Law School.
  • Carleton Specific Events (Year round) – The Career Center plans a number of events each year for students interested in learning more about and pursuing a law degree and legal career.
