Job and internship fairs (also called “career fairs”) are designed to connect students with potential employers. Fairs can take place in-person and virtually, and will often have a more diverse group of employers than on-campus recruiting opportunities.
The career fairs Carleton sponsors are coordinated with local colleges, Minnesota private colleges, and state colleges. See below for more information.

The Government & Nonprofit Career Fair
Friday, November 3, 2023 (In-Person)
The Government and Non-Profit Career Fair allows agencies to meet with candidates and alumni from the 30 participating Minnesota 4-year colleges and universities and participating regional colleges. The Government & Nonprofit Career Fair allows candidates to pursue professional opportunities and internships in all levels of government and nonprofit agencies. The job fair is open only to students and alumni from participating colleges and universities. Register for the in-person fair via Handshake (coming later)
PAST FAIRS
Minnesota Education Job Fair
Thursday, March 30, 2023 (In-Person)
Only Minnesota College and university students and alumni who are certified teachers or will be certified by December 2023 are eligible to attend this event. Attendees must have been enrolled in an education program that led to an education license.

Sponsored by 7 Minnesota colleges, this event connects startup companies with Minnesota talent. Make connections, get career advice, and learn about the needs, opportunities, and recruiting practices of leading startups.
Minnesota Private Colleges’ Spring Job & Internship Fair
Thursday, March 16, 2023 (In-Person)
Sponsored by the 18 private colleges and universities in Minnesota, the event is held each February at the Minneapolis Convention Center. By attending the recruiting fair, you will have the opportunity to network with 300+ Minnesota, regional, and national companies hiring in the areas of consulting, banking/finance, actuarial science, stats/data science, technology, business analysis, management, and leadership training/development, non-profit, STEM, and project management. This fair is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors only.

Carleton and St. Olaf joint event open to first-years through seniors interested in learning about and making connections with our top business employers. Roughly 20 employers will be present at the event. It is intended for all interest levels, so even if you aren’t sure whether a career in business is for you, this is a great way to learn more directly from employers.
