Microcredentials are a series of live, virtual courses designed to help students develop technical skills in high demand across industries. Ideal for upperclassmen, the menu of courses available for Winter Break 2026 includes:
- AI for Analyst Functions
- Excel Basics: Level 1
- Excel Intermediate: Level 2 (prerequisite Excel Basics)
- Project Management 101
- SQL Basics: Level 1
- SQL Advancement: Level 2 (prerequisite SQL Basics)
Upon completion of a credential, students will receive:
- Professionally written resume bullets that model how one might showcase their learning and skill development in their own application materials
- Sample training work to showcase to recruiters/hiring managers
- Practice sets
- and LinkedIn skill endorsements.
Students will benefit from a network of talented, like-minded peers working closely together throughout the programs, with opportunities to showcase their achieved competencies and portfolio of created deliverables from the courses.
2026 Timeline for Students
- Student Registration Opens: Tuesday, November 3
- Student Registration Deadline: Thursday, November 12 at 11:59 p.m. CST
- Program Duration: Each course will run 4–6 hours, taking place between Tuesday, December 1–Friday, December 18. Students may register for one or several credentials.
The Microcredentials application form will open on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Each course has 35 spots available, and registration will close early if capacity is reached.
