As Carleton students returned to Northfield from around the globe, many conversations began with inquiries about each other’s summers.
Here in the Career Center, we asked this question a lot. From August 27th to September 15th, we asked sophomores, juniors, and seniors about their experiences last summer. In the end, we received responses from 925 of 1559 of them (59.3%), including 264 seniors (out of 466, 56.7%), 294 juniors (out of 549, 53.6%), and 364 sophomores (out of 544, 66.9%).

Students also are able to add their experiences to our Summer Experiences Database on the Career Center website, which is a great resource for current and future Carls to find companies and organizations that have hosted Carls for summer experiences in the past.
Whatever they choose to do each summer, there is value in lots of different types of experiences, and we hope you can use these resources in career-related conversations with your Carl.
