New Career Center Director RJ Holmes-Leopold

3 December 2018

We are delighted to announce that RJ Holmes-Leopold joined Carleton as the next director of the Career Center on December 3, 2018. RJ comes to us from Cornell College, where he served as senior director of Alumni Engagement and Leadership Annual Giving.

During his 14 years at Cornell College, RJ advanced several of the college’s strategic initiatives. He collaborated with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and parents to develop the Cornell Fellows Program, and launched comprehensive co-curricular pre-law programming. He also worked with key partners on a new strategic plan for increasing alumni engagement.

Prior to his role in alumni engagement, RJ served as inaugural director of the Career Engagement Program, where he helped connect first-generation students to career center resources, collaborated with multiple partners to implement strategic initiatives that focused on students’ career aspirations, and increased student interaction with the center.

RJ earned his bachelor’s in politics and communication studies from Cornell College, a master’s in college student personnel from the University of Maryland College Park, and an educational specialist degree in higher education from the University of Iowa.

Please join us in welcoming RJ to Carleton and the Career Center.
