Current sophomores, juniors, and seniors are encouraged to attend the upcoming Minnesota Private Colleges’ Job and Internship Fair set to take place at the Minneapolis Convention Center on February 19. Students from the 18 Minnesota Private Colleges and Universities have an opportunity to speak with 200+ employers seeking to hire candidates for their open internship and full-time roles. There is no cost for students to attend and transportation is available free of charge.
Employers are seeking to hire regionally and nationally in the areas of business management & administration, education & training, finance & banking, government & public administration, health science, information technology, law, marketing, and STEM.
Carleton’s Career Center is hosting a prep session on Wednesday, February 12 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. to help students prepare for the fair. Topics include researching employers, strategizing how to approach top companies of interest, introducing oneself and professional pitches, next steps after conversations, and résumé tips. We’ll also cover networking etiquette and appropriate dress for the fair.
If you think your student(s) might benefit from attending the fair, encourage them to register on Handshake and attend the upcoming prep session at the Career Center to have their questions answered.
