Bio:
David Joo is an entrepreneur, investor, and advisor focused on companies creating positive societal impact. He is currently a Co-Founder of neuroaide, an AI tool that streamlines the neuropsychological report writing process, helping more families receive these essential services faster.
David also advises impact-driven companies that balance doing good with commercial success. As part of this work, he is an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Morgan Stanley’s Inclusive & Sustainable Ventures Lab, working with tech companies founded by minority and women entrepreneurs. He also serves on the board of Korean Startups & Entrepreneurs, a non-profit organization cultivating the Korean and Korean-American tech ecosystem in the US.
Previously, David was a Co-founder and Co-CEO of Knowre, an education technology company delivering personalized math learning globally. He grew the business from inception in 2012 through its acquisition in 2018 by Daekyo, a publicly listed South Korean education company, raising institutional capital through Series A, B, and B-1 rounds along with post-acquisition funding. Prior to Knowre, David worked in investment banking across capital markets, leveraged finance, and M&A, along with public markets investing via distressed debt and capital structure arbitrage strategies.
David enjoys cooking, tennis, and golf, and spending time with his wife and two children.
