Student Career Assistants (SCAs)

The Career Center helps Carleton students explore the wide range of opportunities available to them during their time on campus and as they prepare for life after graduation. Student Career Assistants (SCAs) play an integral role in this process. SCAs support and advise students in a number of career-topics, including, but not limited to: exploring majors and careers, pursuing internships and employment (both domestic and international), cover letters & résumés, preparing for interviews, networking effectively, applying for internship funding, LinkedIn, etc.

As an SCA, you will develop a wide range of transferable skills for your future. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to connect with alumni, collaborate with professional staff, and contribute to a dynamic team of learners.

The SCA position is part of the Student Life Peer Leader program.


Marketing and Program Assistants

The Marketing and Program Assistants are students who work for the Career Center and manage and update the career center events calendar and Handshake, while also posting regularly on many different media platforms. They advertise workshops, information sessions, and recruiter visits & job fairs.

Data Entry Specialist

The Data Entry Specialist is a student who enters and approves jobs, internships, and fellowships that are sent to the Career Center. That person also enters all participation at workshops, events, and coaching appointment drop-ins.
