Come conquer the Hexagon Challenge, or play the Surrounding Game, and learn about summer internships and December externships with MathHappens Foundation, a nonprofit that supports playful math learning for all ages.

MathHappens Foundation is dedicated to promoting the joy and value of mathematics in people's lives. Their mission is to inspire and empower individuals to develop a deeper appreciation and understanding of mathematics through engaging and interactive experiences. They strive to create opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to discover the beauty and relevance of mathematics in the world around them. Through innovative programs, exhibits, and events, they foster curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, helping to cultivate a more mathematically literate society.

At MathHappens, they believe that everyone deserves the chance to experience the wonder of mathematics and that it can enrich lives in meaningful and unexpected ways.

Stop by the tables at Sayles and talk with Christopher Danielson. Christopher's broad experiences include public middle school teaching, earning a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from Michigan State University, teaching at the college level, and working at Desmos developing creative and social online math lessons. Christopher also writes books that support math inquiry and conversation, founded Math-On-A Stick, an annual large-scale family math playspace at the Minnesota State Fair, and cofounded Public Math, a non-profit that supports informal math experiences for families in public spaces.
