Healthy Community Initiative (HCI) is dedicated to building partnerships and encouraging community collaborations that support, value, and empower youth. They bring together programs and individuals and provide the necessary support so they can put their expertise and resources toward efforts that positively impact youth and their families in Rice County. In conjunction with funding from AmeriCorps, they have great opportunities for both summer employment and a year of service or a gap year. Working with AmeriCorps looks great on a resume and helps build career-advancing skills. The education award can be applied to student loans or future tuition, and loans can be deferred during service. Full-time employment includes health insurance and childcare assistance. Consider applying!
