Our colleagues in Theater and Dance manage a collection of props amassed for use in Players’ Productions. Our colleagues in the Costume Shop do so for a costume collection with the same purpose. They might be open to loaning a prop to a student currently enrolled in a CAMS production class, at their discretion and as time allows. They have their own policies and procedures, which might sound familiar to someone who has recently (re)read Production Office circulation policy. The cardinal rule of no same-day reservations definitely applies. Our colleagues also have their own projects they’re working on, often with tight deadlines. They are well within rights and reason to turn you away if you show up the day of your shoot hoping to borrow something.
So, if you’re interested in borrowing a prop, be in touch with our colleagues well in advance:
