LTC Targeted Audience Lunch - Giving and Receiving Feedback Across Different Teaching Styles

Tue, March 1, 2022 • 11:45am - 12:45pm (1h) • AGH Meeting Room

One of the strengths of Carleton is the diversity of approaches that Carleton faculty members take in their teaching. But that means you might find yourself observing a colleague who has a very different approach to teaching than you do. How might we help each other understand and give feedback across different styles of teaching? What makes an interactive lecture, a whole class discussion, or flipped classroom effective? What do you wish someone who taught using a different style knew about the way you teach? How can we give more effective feedback to colleagues when we observe their teaching, particularly if we all have different approaches?
