“Terrassa, Spain. Juan and José (Jordi Vilches and Ángel de Andrés López) meet via a club that believes that a race of people from flying saucers is trying to make contact with Earthmen. Juan neglects his job and his demanding girlfriend María (Macarena Gómez) to join José to interpret ‘messages from space.’ Together they try to inform the leaders of the U.S.A and the Soviet Union of the impending cosmic meeting. Their situation is complicated by the belief that saucer cultists like themselves are being eliminated by a death squad of CIA men. Indeed the Franco police are tailing them, thinking that the two cultists might be communist subversives.” (DVD Talk)
