After graduating from Carleton, Max moved to Los Angeles, where he had a few internships, one of which led to his first job: assistant to a talent manager at Strong Management. After 9 months there, he got a new job as assistant to a director (Malcolm Venville, at Anonymous Content), where he worked for several years. He then shifted into freelance work, producing short form content and feature films, and working in commercial production--first as a production assistant, then production coordinator. Through one of his commercial contacts, he found his way to Netflix, where he moved up from production coordinator, to production manager, to producer. Other than a 3-month break where he produced two more features, he has been there ever since. Max now works as a producer within the marketing department, focusing on stand-up comedy and comedy series.
Max will talk about his career path and answer any questions you may have.
