SARAE Fall Dialogue #2

Thu, November 4, 2021 • 10:00am - 11:00am (1h) • ZOOM

All Carleton staff are welcome to join the SARAE group for dialogue centering issues of racism. The remainder of our Fall and Winter term dialogues will fall under the theme of Developing Inclusive Practices & Language by revisiting the unpacking of microaggressions. No previous experience discussing racism is required, and you can attend any of the events that fit your schedule.

The November 4th dialogue will focus on recognizing microaggressions in terminology and language. We ask that each participant choose two pieces of media from the list on the SARAE website for this session prior to attending the dialogue.

Please note: Though all staff are always welcome to attend our sessions, we realize that discussion surrounding the topic of microaggressions may not feel like a safe space for everyone. We hope that by including all of the media here beforehand, staff can decide individually if this is a session they would like to attend.

Visit the Carleton Staff webpage for more information about SARAE, and to access details for this meeting.

We look forward to seeing you there!
