“The film that records the Afro-Uruguayan immigration of the last decades in Buenos Aires and the way in which the ancestral rhythm of candombe and the ceremonies around the drum update and speak of a culture, a belonging and a destiny. With the first records that date back to the beginning of the last decade, when the police prohibited the occasional concerts that the candomberos made around Plaza Dorrego and the San Telmo neighborhood, the film was built over time as a reflection about a particular culture, its ways of meeting and resistance, while discovering a series of moments around the Afro-Uruguayan community in Buenos Aires.” (Memoria Digital Afro)
